Funny Story…

At least I think so anyways :)

On Saturday night, my friend Vanessa and I rented a movie. It is something she is not too fond of doing with me because I tend to always fall asleep on her couch but she needs to understand it’s the perfect couch to sleep on. Like I want it in my room, get rid of my bed and give me that couch. Also, I had just worked almost 11 hours, I have a right to be pooped.

So we rented Letters to Juliet since she is not a fan of horror films. She offers me a drink, I choose decaf tea. It’s late, I can’t take caffeine or else I won’t sleep all night. From this beverage choice however, she knew what was coming. Also, since we had decided to rent a movie she had been warning me not to fall asleep and of course I promise her I won’t, though I was yawning up a storm.

So we begin the movie and I get into position. I am laying with my head next to Vanessa but I know she can’t see my eyes. So I watch the first 10 minutes, slightly boring. I sleep for 2 minutes, wake up for 2 and make a comment “wow he’s cute”, sleep for 2, wake up again and make a comment “ya I do love her skirt”. I think I’m doing a great job of sleeping and fooling her.

But then, I give myself away hard. Here is the transcript of what went down:

Vanessa: “hope?”

Hope: “just park the car in the front”

Vanessa: “what?”

Hope: “just park the car in the front”

Vanessa: “hope, are you sleeping?”

Hope (flying up into sitting position): “WHAT?!?! NO”

I have no clue what I was dreaming but as I was directing her to “just park the car in the front” I could hear myself saying it and I was thinking ‘what the eff am I saying’. I still do not know, however it was funny. Though I will admit I slept, I didn’t think I slept as much as she was saying.

However, I took the movie with me and watched it. Wow, did I sleep through the whole movie or what? I missed everything, lol.
