is love, sweet love.
In the midst of all the couples that have announced their separation this week, ahem Christina & Jordan, Courtney & David and thankfully, Madonna and Jesus (not pictured because they were ridiculous together) I need to vent about the inability to stay together in Hollywood.
Seriously, Jordan and Christina I always had a feeling they wouldn’t make it. If I tell you my reasons I’ll sound superficial which I am not. But it seems as though I was correct. They also never seemed to fit well. They were an odd match. Like when you saw them together you thought, “really?”.
But David and Courtney, c’mon you two, give it another go. Think about Coco, oh poor Coco!!! (Side note: Coco is not a dog, she is their daughter). You two are adorable. Oh ya, Christina and Jordan think about your son Max too. But Courtney, you’re going to turn into your character from your show, Cougartown (which I love and is highly recommended). You get what you get. You married a man almost 10 years younger than you, you had to figure you were going to be a bit of a mother. Also, it took 11 years to realize you mother David.
Word of Advice: Don’t turn into Jennifer Aniston, please don’t. She is going to forever be single, all because she didn’t want to give Brad Pitt a baby and look what happened. He’s with Angelina Jolie, he’s had 3 babies with her and adopted her 3 others and is one of the highest paid and best looking actors. Poor Jennifer, she’s made crap romantic comedy, after crap romantic comedy (except She’s Just Not That Into You but that’s because she had a minor role) and she’s had the worst luck in love, WORST. It’s sad.
However, after seeing these two couples separate this week I wanted to be reminded that there is still true love in Hollywood. These are two couples I find adorable and wish all the best. Also, if they break up I will no longer believe in love, in general :D
Buffy & Freddie Prinze Jr. Blake Lively & Penn Badgley
Exhibit A. This is love done right. You get famous, make your millions, find your partner and relax your career to focus on your marriage and now family, as their daughter, Charlotte just turned one. They have been together 11 years, 8 years married. Congrats you two. This isn’t necessarily the process that needs to happen for a successful marriage but I think it works.
Penn and Blake, besides have unique names, they are completely adorable. They have been dating since May 0f 2007. I think that is pretty darn great for a pair of 23 year olds. They seem down-to-earth and I love them together. Sometimes we need to be reminded of the young love in Hollywood, seems like all they do is get mistresses, cheat, and break up. (ahem Tiger Woods & Ashton Kutcher)
