I am one person who thinks Chris Brown is a douche. Not a nice comment but I do. I used to like him, I haven’t for a while and I’m not sure if it has to do with what he did to Rihanna or not. I know I am no closer to liking him now with his horribly dyed uber blonde hair or the fact that he’s taken nude photos of himself within the last few months.
He’s only had the ugly blonde hair for a couple months and in the photos he has the ugly blonde hair. First, he should be smarter than to take a nude photo of himself, especially with his age and the bad reputation he currently has, and will have to do a lot of work to get rid of. Secondly, I thought only girls who wanted to see how pretty they look took pictures of themselves in washroom mirrors, grow up Chris. Thirdly, his comments regarding the photos make it seem like he took them and probably leaked them himself for some form of publicity and ego boost as Chris Brown seems to think highly of himself in the nude. Forth, I don’t like his new single, I think it’s stupid. Did a 13 year old write the lyrics? You like to drink, so do we. Deep, so deep. Grammy worthy.
For all these reasons that I don’t like him, for the love of God can everyone just forget that he beat up Rihanna, last February. Not even last February, TWO Februarys ago. Let the poor guy move on. You don’t think that was a horrible day in his life. Yes, extremely terrible for Rihanna but it still was a low point for Chris Brown. And as much as I don’t like him I believe that people should let it go.
No one keeps reminding Rihanna of how she got beat up, so really should everyone keep reminding Chris how he beat up a woman? He’s moving on, or trying too. He’s taken anger management, doing his community service and trying to get his career back on track. I’m not saying I believe he is going to rejuvenate or whatever people with anger issues/physical abuse issues do but he’s trying to move past it, so let him.
There are plenty of celebrities who have hit or hurt other people and people are seriously focusing on this one for way too long. Is it because of the victim, Rihanna? Does it potentially have to do with the colour of their skin and the stereotypes black singers often have as gangsters and often deal with drug, weapon and other criminal charges? Chris Brown hasn’t really established himself or personna as that of a gangster.
I say leave Chris Brown alone. Leave Rihanna alone. They are both young and this experience probably traumatized both of them in different ways and we shouldn’t be shoving it down either of their throats (ahem Good Morning America ahem).
I myself will never talk about this incident again.
