Karate Kid for this Generation

I am currently watching the new Karate Kid movie and Jackie Chan is mean. Wow, I feel like poor Jaden Smith is hanging up, dropping and putting his coat forever. At least Mr. Miyagi’s wax on, wax off seemed like it was going to be useful. The coat business was just ridiculous and it seemed Jaden learned a lot more from it then he should have.

They need to bring Mr. Miyagi back. I’m a big Jackie Chan fan or Rush Hour fan, however you’d like to phrase it but Mr. Miyagi is the man and the first four karate kid movies I loved. Yes I am including the Hilary Swank one too. It was good, no matter what people say. Hilary kicked some serious ass. Now I have the urge to watch all four Karate Kids but I need to finish this one first. I started watching it yesterday and stopped to go watch No Strings Attached.

I just don’t get the concept of this movie. I don’t know why Jaden and his mom just packed up and moved to China. Seems like an odd thing to do and Jackie is too damn mean. He’s getting better but I don’t like it. It kind of makes me want to want all the Rush Hours again just to remind myself how funny and nice he is.
The other movies are just a better portrayal, this one just seems like a big copy cat and I get that is it kind of like a remake, kind of like its own movie but seriously I’m not a big fan of it so far. Jaden is super cute though, nothing against him. I think I’m just too big of a fan of the old ones. Kind of like people who loved the first Fame or Hairspray and hated the remakes.

I’m tired and not in the greatest of moods. I don’t have much to write about because  I did  a lot of sleeping today and I don’t want to bore anyone writing a play by play of me watching The Karate Kid. I also have census testing early in the morning so I need to get to bed.

Till tomorrow.
