Lets get something straight…

This is a message to ALL weather personnel. I doubt that anyone who reads this blog reports on the weather but I need to just get this out so I am no longer holding in this undue frustration. Also,  I am not going to say this is geared towards CP24 but I do watch it every morning and it is where I hear the majority of my weather info. But I am sure other channels do this also, however I tune into CP24.

This morning the weather felt like –17 degrees with windchill. That is freezing. FREEZING. But CP24’s Nalini Sharma says something along the lines as where lucky because it’s not as cold as yesterday, which felt like –22 degrees at the time I was watching. Let me tell you something Nalini, those 5 degrees don’t make a difference. It’s still freezing. No one is in luck. It’s not like I’m leaving the gloves at home, forgoring the scarf or switching it up and wearing a lighter coat. I’m still going to freeze my butt off no matter what, so please until it is time to start wearing less layers (perferrably shorts and tees, lol) do not say we are lucky. It is misleading :P

Also, another thing that CP24 weather also comments on is when the sun feels like gracing us with its presence during our freezing cold days. “Oh we’re in luck, the sun is shining today” or “the sun is shining beautifully”. All that means is we think it’s warmer than it is and we’re going to have mad glare on the roads from the reflection of the sun. What the CP24 team really should say is “Get your sunglasses, you’ll need them so you don’t crash” or “the sun will shine right in your eyes, be prepared with your glasses”.

Now don’t think I am angry with you CP24. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I absolutely love the channel, to the point where a teacher called it creepy or something along those lines. Its been a few years since that remark was made but he did not understand my fascination with the channel. But I love it and I will continue to watch every morning, as well as other times throughout my day.

Till tomorrow

Also, Nalini… I loved the segment of you wall climbing, too funny. I loved how Melissa and her co-host were laughing at you also. Does that make me a bad person? No..... Perhaps it makes them bad people? ... lol, no.
