This is absolutely terrible.

Is this how you celebrate freedom? After 18 long days of protesting, this is what you decide to do once all your efforts have finally paid off? By sexually assaulting women. I’m so disgusted by an article I just read which said a CBS reporter, Lara Logan was sexually assaulted and beaten the day Mubarak stepped down.

This takes away all the warm, positive, hopeful feelings I had for Egypt and their future. What kind of future can they have when sexually assaulting women is a common occurrence? And this wasn’t done by the corrupt police. This was done by the protesters. The protesters that the rest of the world was standing behind and supporting. I don’t mean to generalize all the protesters because all the protesters did not do this.

Logan was saved by other women and Egyptian soldiers. I hope with the new Egypt that forms, that these disgusting men get prosecuted for these acts. They wanted a free, fair, new Egypt and I hope they enjoy all that comes with that, which I hope it has fair and just criminal justice system.

I didn’t realize groping women was a form of celebration. I thought that was more like molestation or assault, but whatever floats your boat in Egypt. You can read the article HERE. I could go on and on about how disgusted I am about the whole situation.

I’m just so upset that a story like this has tainted the revolution of Egypt for me. That a few Egyptians would taint such a historic day for their country, it's so sad. I’m glad that Lara Logan spoke out about this because such few women do, and just because this is such a positive, exploratory time for Egypt, their people, the few it is, should be accountable for their actions.

Till tomorrow.
